City View Mustangs Varsity watched the game slip away early and couldn’t recover in a 21-1 loss to Paradise on Tuesday. Paradise took the lead on a single in the first inning.

The City View Mustangs Varsity struggled to put runs on the board and had a tough time defensively containing Paradise, giving up 21 runs.

Paradise fired up the offense in the first inning, when Mitchell Sellers singled on a 1-2 count, scoring one run.

Paradise scored ten runs in the fifth inning. Paradise offense in the inning was led by Jace Essig, Sellers, Trevor Helton, Colby Coy, Cade Goodman, and Essig, all sending runners across the plate with RBIs in the inning.

Mikey Passariello earned the win for Paradise. He allowed one hit and zero runs over two innings, striking out four and walking zero. Trace Tyler and Helton entered the game out of the bullpen and helped to close out the game in relief.

JR William took the loss for City View Mustangs Varsity. He lasted four innings, allowing eight hits and 11 runs while striking out one.

Tuan Hoang led City View Mustangs Varsity with two hits in two at bats.

Paradise tallied 16 hits in the game. Sellers, Essig, Goodman, Helton, Passariello, and Trey Valentine each collected multiple hits for Paradise.
