City View Mustangs Varsity watched the game slip away early and couldn’t recover in a 15-0 loss to Holliday on Saturday. Holliday scored on an error, an error, a walk by Gary Hall, and a walk by Connor Cox in the first inning.
The City View Mustangs Varsity struggled to put runs on the board and had a tough time defensively containing Holliday, giving up 15 runs.
Holliday got things moving in the first inning, when Tristin Boyd was struck by a pitch, driving in a run.
One bright spot for City View Mustangs Varsity was a single by Mykell Galloway in the first inning.
Blake Lindeman earned the win for Holliday. He surrendered zero runs on two hits over two innings, striking out four and walking one. Cox threw three innings in relief out of the bullpen.
Galloway took the loss for City View Mustangs Varsity. He allowed two hits and 11 runs over one inning, striking out one.
JR William, Jackson York, Jayln Marks, and Galloway each collected one hit to lead City View Mustangs Varsity.
Blake Gray led Holliday with two hits in four at bats.
