City View now knows what it has to do to end a lengthy playoff drought that dates back to the 2004-05 season.
With Holliday beating Henrietta 67-34 Monday night, the Mustangs now must beat Jacksboro on the road Tuesday to finish fourth in 8-3A. A loss would mean a tiebreaker later in the week between the Bearcats and Mustangs.
Holliday took all of the drama out of Monday’s game, which was moved up a day because the Lady Eagles’ have a Tuesday playoff game. The Eagles led 18-2 after the first quarter and finished with three double-digit scorers – Tray Henderson (12), Justin Jones (12) and Noah Parker (11).
In another Monday night 8-3A finale, No. 22 Bowie finished off an unbeaten district run with a 96-31 rout of Paradise. Keck Jones and Spenser Meekins each hit five 3-pointers and finished with 22 and 16 points, respectively. Gary Mosley added 14 as Bowie exploded for a season-high 59 points in the first half.
