NOCONA – The Nocona Indians remained firmly in second place Friday night after a 63-53 win over the City View Mustangs in District 8-3A action.

The Mustangs (14-14, 6-5) remain tied for the fourth and final playoff spot with Henrietta.

The Indians gradually pulled away from the Mustangs, leading by 11 heading into the final period.

Billy McCasland led the Indians (20-9, 8-3) with 21 points, while Marcus Carter added 11 and Jose Ogeda had 10. The Mustangs were led by Tamell Monroe with 20 points, while Andrew Kindrick had 10.
